In addition to his professional and academic experiences, James contributed to the publication of the 2019 release of “Healthcare Analytics-Foundations and Frontiers'' by CRC Press. James holds a Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s in Health Informatics and Information Management from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. ![]() He also has professional experiences with Aetna, Mercer Consulting, and The University of Michigan Health System. James also held positions at Humana, including serving as Market CFO accountable for the financial management and operation of a $300M commercial health plan. James has also served as an Associate Partner at IBM Watson Health and as SVP of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Walgreens. Power focused on product strategy, portfolio offerings and go-to-market execution in the healthcare consumerism space. Prior to joining Press Ganey, James served as a Managing Director of Global Healthcare Intelligence at J.D. James serves as SVP Client Solutions at Press Ganey focused on the measurement and delivery of insights regarding healthcare engagement, experience and consumer satisfaction across patients, providers, and payers. His professional background includes positions leading teams and projects over functions including health analytics, managed care operations, healthcare finance, consumer healthcare survey research, medical economics, and business intelligence. James holds 25 years of healthcare experience represented within a diverse and rich mix of Fortune 100 healthcare and pharmacy companies, consulting practices, and health technology enabled firms. ![]()
